I am an Australian citizen, born in Melbourne (1952) and currently retired (widower) and living in Brisbane. I started my accounting career (you can see my education background in ABOUT) with Drug Houses of Australia (DHA) as a cadet accountant (1972) and moved into the Boral group of companies where I stayed for 10 years. In 1986 I took a position in Port Moresby PNG with Paradise Bakeries P/L and stayed in PNG for the next 33 years, working for a number of differing companies, marrying a local lady (from Manus Island) and having three children. In 2019 I took early retirement (following my wife's passing) and moved back to Australia. In retirement I found myself bored with the available options, golf, bowls etcetera, and as my mind was still active and my background was accounting I thought about going on my own and helping those SME's who didn't see the need for a full time accountant. With help from some past business acquaintances I started LAS (Leprechaun Accounting Services) and I am here to help those who feel they need it.
